NKW Fresh teaser 1 – innovation
In the mountains of Morobe in Papua New Guinea, MDF partner NKW Fresh is using innovative crop management software to collect data on farmer yields and growing practices to support them to grow a consistent, high quality supply of fresh produce. MDF is working with NKW Fresh to help connect rural farmers to high value markets. Currently farmers face problems with lack of infrastructure – making connections to markets difficult and costly. Ineffective crop planning and demand forecasting also leads to high wastage and consistency of supply volumes and quality.
